Mrs. Nicolatte Matuku

Nicolatte is a passionate Pan Africanist youth development specialist, with over 10 years of experience in youth marketing and business development strategy. With a well-vested interest in African practical solutions, she practices, and teaches on Food Security, Climate Change, Sustainability, and Nation Adaption plans for African countries. 

She is an advocate for the importance of African youth dialogue and inter-African political and socio-economic relations. To her, the biggest potential lies within trading within Africa.

A multiple award recipient, she is the Vice President of the Botswana Youth Model United Nations (BYMUN), a simulation of the UN which grooms and stimulates SADC youth thinkers and future leaders to discuss and tackle regional youth predicaments and propose and implement solutions for these problems with the help of the UN committees.

She is the Founder of Walking the African Journey (WAJ), a youth empowerment organisation, with a footprint in Lesotho, Swaziland, South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Malawi which, creates access and opportunities in entrepreneurship and career up-skilling and African trade relations. 

Business Development Manager for Slikour Onlife, one of the biggest online urban culture and music content publication in South Africa, Nicholatte is also the Country Director for Zimbabwe in the Association of African Future Leaders (AAFL), responsible for scouting excelling youth entrepreneurs and professionals and expose them on a regional level for upskilling, funding, and global participation.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree with Majors in Media Communication Science and Anthropology from the University of Witwatersrand; Integrating Climate Risk Information in NAPS certificate at UNCC; Integrating Climate Risk Information In NAPS Producing Climate Information certificate at the UN Institute of Training and Research (UNITAR), Geneva. 


She also holds a Certificate in Human Health and Climate Change from the UN Institute of Training and Research (UNITAR), Geneva; Certificate in Sustainable Diet and Food security From United Nations Institute of Training and Research (UNITAR) Geneva, and Piggery Farming Certificate, Amakhono Animal Husbandry Institute. She is currently pursuing a Diploma in Entrepreneurship in Emerging Economies at the University of Harvard.
