From 1998-2000, Engr. Mutinda worked as Extension Assistant for Delmonte Fruit Processing Plantation, before serving as South Eastern Region Agricultural Assistant Manager for Agricultural Society of Kenya, from 2004-2006. Between 2012 and 2016, he worked with the University of Nairobi as Assistant Researcher. Later that same year, he became the Chief Executive Officer of Green ITech & Hydroponics Solutions Limited, Kenya Chapter. In 2018, he became the Chief-Executive Director, East Africa Kenya, for the same company, overseeing the operations in Uganda and Rwanda. He was also the company’s Business Development Director in East Africa. He is an active member of the East Africa Grain Council, and Secretary General, National Organic Producers, Uganda.
Engr. Mutinda has an MSc in Agriculture and BioSystems Engineering from the University Of Nairobi. During the period, he was an Assistant Researcher, Kabete Campus, University of Nairobi, and Assistant Researcher, Kenya Agricultural Research Livestock Organization. Earlier, he bagged Bachelors of Science in Animal Production and Management from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology. He also has a Diploma in Public Relations and Personnel Administration from the Universal Group of Colleges.
